It is with pronounced optimism that CORPUS SIREO will travel to the Côte d'Azur this March. Germany is “Country of Honour” at the upcoming annual MIPIM trade fair for commercial real estate in Cannes. As Germany’s biggest real estate asset management service provider, CORPUS SIREO is an inherent part of the German trade fair presence.
Being a real estate service provider with numerous branch offices across Germany and one in Luxembourg, CORPUS SIREO will position itself as Germany specialist for international real estate investors, financing banks, and portfolio holders at the MIPIM 2012 trade fair. Said Ingo Hartlief, CEO of CORPUS SIREO Asset Management GmbH: “International investors with German assets have recently started to take an increased interest in transaction management services. They are seeking the support of asset managers with a high-key acquisition and sales record not just in Germany’s Class A cities but in remote locations marked by high potential, too.”
Given the turbulences caused by sovereign debt crises and the rating of European partners, Germany with its intact AAA market status is becoming increasingly attractive for investors from abroad. “In the quest for safety, real estate as investment class will keep gaining in significance. With this in mind, investors have shifted their focus to Germany,” Hartlief believes. Accordingly, CORPUS SIREO expects to see plenty of opportunity to contract new asset management commissions, and to enter into co-investment partnerships.
To increase the equity basis, block sales and individual sales were transacted everywhere in Germany in 2011. Most recently, the company sold a package including 4,700 apartments in Berlin. “We are planning to engage in dedicated co-investments again this year and have earmarked equity for this purpose. Our objective in pursuing these commitments is an ‘alignment of interest’ with the investment partner, and thus securing new asset management mandates for CORPUS SIREO,” said Ralph Günther, CEO of CORPUS SIREO Holding GmbH & Co. KG.
Another focus of CORPUS SIREO’s trade fair presence will be on the company’s investment management products. In December, 2011, the company launched its second healthcare investment fund as a pool of segregated assets. Managed in Luxembourg, this institutional fund invests in care homes, and has a target volume of 300 million Euros.
Presence at the Frankfurt Booth
The CORPUS SIREO team will be on the ground with 20 representatives, sharing the Frankfurt RheinMain pavilion (Hall Espace Riviera, Stand R.33.07).
